Just Some General Things

Performing a solo during the offeratory. I sang a song in their native language (Cebuano) and they loved it. They were hootn' and hollerin the whole way through because they were so excited that I was singing in their language. I can't really speak the language yet, but I just learned the song in Cebuano.

This is a little beach hut that is just down the street from me. I am going to host my first outreach/Bible study for non-believers here. It holds about 20 people. I have invited one person so far and he has accepted. I feel it will be a full house as I've made some good relationships in the neighborhood and many of the young guys have really taken to me and just want to hang out. They'll come to the study just because they know me, not because they are interested in the Word, but hopefully the Seed will be planted and take root from there.

Cleaning out our giant pool. We are turning it into a fish pond as a livelihood project to raise money for the ministry. We are going to raise Talapia, which legend has it is the fish of the 153 miraculous catch by the disciples after the resurrection of Christ. So it is the Jesus fish. One of our girls recommended calling our pool the "Pool of Galilee"

Youth group from local Calvary Chapel church here. This is the church that I first became a part of when I first arrived. They are a huge blessing and we have a really good relationship. They are pretty far from me now, but we still keep in touch. They have big hearts and they have a great youth group.
